El hijo de Gabriel García Márquez decidió escribir un libro sobre los últimos días de su padre y su muerte, lo que significó para él, para su madre y hermano, y cómo afectó su vida. Es un libro corto pero es absolutamente conmovedor. Escribe con gran claridad y sólo un escritor tan comprometido logra transmitir con tanta precisión lo que está sintiendo. Hay pasajes en que se me rompía el corazón al imaginarme lo que estaba viviendo, en especial porque nos transporta a un mundo ya vivido cuando perdemos a alguien muy querido. Tantas cosas con las que me sentí identificada y que en su momento no habría sabido describir. Es un libro totalmente subjetivo, pero con una objetividad asombrosa al lograr escribir como un espectador a pesar de que lo estaba viviendo. Me llevó a mucha reflexión. No fácil de leer, pero un libro que nos ayuda a conocernos mejor. A todos nos ha visitado la muerte o lo hará algún día. Nadie está exento y tener una mente clara no nos viene mal.
