While I thought the first two volumes of Citrus weren't that great, by Volume 3, it picked up and the fifth volume is also quite good. Yuzu finds that she has an actual fan, one Nomura Nene. Unfortunately, she also has a new enemy in the form of her friend Harumin's older sister Mitsuko, who proves to be one nasty piece of work. Mitsuko decides to pit Yuzu and Mei against each other in a student president election. Probably the best scene involves Mei confronting Nene and asking just why she is a fan of Yuzu. Nene's answer gives Mei insights into what she herself sees in her stepsister. As a bonus, at the end, Matsuri pays a visit; I thought she was the one who gave Volume 3 strength, so it was great seeing her again. I won' t go into details as to what happens, but it is very funny (Yuzu might have a dissenting opinion).
